Jacob's Ladder

The central wall in the main lobby of the Ashdod Medical Center will display a singular piece of art by world-renowned glass sculptor Jeremy Langford. The wall-piece, incorporating plaques honoring the hospital’s donors, will color the natural light passing through it and illuminate the interior of the lobby.
This impressive and unique artwork, depicting Jacob’s ladder with ascending and descending angels, will reflect the ideas of vitality, innovation, and excellence steeped in our tradition and connected to our roots. Jacob dreamed the dream of the ladder, symbolizing his quest to perfect the world and attain spirituality, on the very spot where his ancestors Abraham and Isaac had worshiped before him.
The artist expresses this quest in a massive, colorful installation that is destined to become the focal point of the new medical center. Visitors will come specially to see the sculpture and those passing through the lobby will certainly linger to take another look.
With G-d's help, our dream of establishing an emergency room in Ashdod will soon become a reality.
